The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid. It has all the features of the MultiPlus, plus an external current transformer option to implement PowerControl and PowerAssist and optimise self-consumption with external current sensing (max 32A). It also carries all the MultiGrid features, with built-in anti-islanding and a growing list of country grid approvals, including G98 for the UK.
PowerAssist prevents overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. Battery charging is automatically reduced first to avoid an overload; if demand still peaks, the unit boosts the output with power taken from the battery.
ESS (Energy Storage Systems): the MultiPlus-II is the key component in a Victron ESS, combining flexibly with MPPT solar chargers or grid-tie PV inverters.
Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function): if grid, shore or generator power fails, the inverter takes over the connected loads in under 20 milliseconds, so computers and other electronics keep running without disruption.
Remote monitoring and control: monitor and control the system locally or remotely via the free VRM app and VRM portal, from a phone, tablet, laptop or PC, with a Cerbo GX or Venus GX for full control including automatic generator start.
