The new-style MultiPlus is a powerful true sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger with adaptive charge technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch, all in a single compact enclosure. It replaces the earlier MultiPlus Compact range with the same proven full-bridge plus toroidal transformer topology, short-circuit proof and protected against overheating from overload or high ambient temperature.
PowerControl lets you set a maximum generator, shore side or grid current. The MultiPlus accounts for other AC loads and uses whatever capacity is left over for charging, preventing the source from being overloaded.
PowerAssist boosts limited shore or generator power. When peak demand is needed only briefly, the MultiPlus tops up insufficient supply with power drawn from the battery, then uses spare capacity to recharge once the load drops. This also delivers the high start-up power needed for inrush loads such as power tools or LED and halogen drivers.
Search Mode cuts no-load power consumption by around 70%, switching the inverter off during idle periods and briefly on every two seconds to check for load.
The programmable relay defaults to alarm mode, de-energising on a pre-alarm condition such as the inverter running hot, excessive ripple on the input, or a low battery.
